What Is It Like at Grace UMC?
The joy of participating in our church.

We are blessed that our brothers and sisters of Forsyth Presbyterian Church (63 N. Jackson Street) are sharing their historic facility with us.  We worship at 11:30 AM in the beautiful sanctuary with a traditional style of worship that is also warm and friendly.   An important part of our worship and ministry is the building of relationships.  Dress is casual.  Our music consists of a variety of traditional hymns and praise tunes with many different instruments - organ, piano, strings, guitars, and band instruments.  Holy Communion is held on the first Sunday of the month and all are welcome to participate.

An adult Bible Study meets at 9:45 AM at the home of Gayle Watson.   The class is discussion-based and covers a variety of topics.  Teachers are members of the class who rotate in leading discussion.

Missions and engagement with our community are very important to us.  We work with the Monroe County Schools Backpack Buddies program and have a monthly dinner at one of our local hotels where home insecure people live.  You will see us at community events and we are members of the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce.
